Electrical breakdowns usually happen because something has damaged the wiring. In many Bristol homes, the most common causes are damp getting into the cables, rodent damage, or older installations that weren’t fitted correctly in the first place. Over time, these issues can cause faults, tripped circuits, or complete loss of power.
If you think a faulty socket or appliance is causing the issue, start by unplugging everything and seeing if the fault continues. If it stops, you can plug items back in one at a time to work out which appliance is causing the problem. If the problem doesn’t go away, or you don’t feel safe, give HomeSafe Electrical a call. We can talk you through what to do next on the phone, and if needed, we’ll arrange for an emergency electrician to come out to you in Bristol as soon as possible.
